Greyhound Adoption of Greater
Rochester, NY is dedicated to matching the right greyhound with
the right family. We prefer to select a greyhound for a family based
on a family profile that is sent to one of the tracks that supply
greyhounds to us. The kennel workers at the track know their dogs
and are able to select dogs that are child friendly (we adopt to
homes with children 5 and older) and cat friendly for those families
that consist of children over five and cats or other small animals.
They can also pass along to us personality and energy level traits
that help us to make a good match. We want both our adoptive families
and our greyhounds to get off to the best possible start. Occasionally,
we have dogs that are immediately available like the ones that appear
on this page. Our adoption fee is $250 which includes: spay/neuter,
dental cleaning, up to date shots, new martingale collar and matching
lead and the "Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummie", book.

Pickie Rumble (Bunny)
Pickie Rumble (Bunny) - Bunny is a total love and completely safe with all small animals. She is good and quiet in a crate and she seems to be housebroken,. She's a bit of a counter surfer and pretty food driven, so new owners are going to have to keep an eye on that and make corrections. She's not a picky eater and eats all of her meal right away. Her personality is very mild and calm, she does not jump up on anyone.
PTL Faith (Faith)
PTL Faith (Faith) - Faith is a gorgeous red fawn female, 3 years old, cat and small dog friendly and just an all around sweet, loving girl. She is doing greyt in her foster home with 2 small children, another greyhound and a 10 pound Jack Russell terrier. Faith would make an excellent pet for just about any family!
KS Outbreak (Scout)
KS Outbreak (Scout) - Scout is afraid of cats, so if you have a cat that is afraid of dogs, this could work out nicely! Eventually, they will get used to each other. Scout is a tall dark and handsome brindle boy, very sweet and easy going. Likes his crate and is good out in the house, too. Scout does very well with other dogs of all sizes and is super gentle with kids.

Yahoo Laura is a white/brindle female who weighs 58 lbs. She is a very pretty, tiny girl. Laura is 2.5 years old and cat friendly. She is a calm girl who is friendly and sweet.
KB's Jackpot Win is a white/dark brindle female who is 60 lbs. She is a very handsome, smaller female. She is 3 years old and cat friendly. She is a nice calm girl who is friendly and outgoing.
M's Amber Art is a white/brindle female who weighs 59 lbs. She is another pretty, small girl who is cat friendly. Amber is 4 years old.
Fully Extended is a red fawn female who weighs 61 lbs. She is a real cutie and is cat and very child friendly. She would make a great family pet. She is 3 years old.
PH Dutchess is a black female who weighs 60 lbs. Dutchess is striking looking as only a black dog can be! She is cat friendly and outgoing. Dutchess is 2 years old.
Boc's Boondocs is a white/brindle male who weighs 80 lbs. Boone is a happy go lucky big boy. He is cat friendly and very outgoing. Boone is two years old.
Dazzling Foxy is a red fawn female who weighs 55 lbs. She is a very tiny, sweet girl. Foxy is cat friendly and very outgoing. She is 4 years old.
Husker Paul is a red fawn male who weighs 70 lbs. He is a pretty boy who is just turning 4 yrs. old. Paul is cat friendly and outgoing.
HK's Final Score is a male brindle who weighs 69 lbs. He is a very nice, happy boy. He is also cat friendly, calm and is great with people. He will be three in August.
Brazilian is a red fawn male who weighs 74 lbs. He is another great looking boy who is cat friendly. Brazilian is calm and friendly. He likes to give kisses. He is 3.5 years old.
BB's Slam Bam -
ADOPTED!
BB's Slam Bam - is a White & black female who was in
foster care with 7 cats and multiple greyhounds. She
is definitely cat friendly! She was born in July of 2006 so
she is just 2.5 yrs. old. She is a darling young thing.
